Sedum spectabile

Don't be fooled by the small size of these plant starters - they grow FAST!

This beautiful and dependable sedum belongs in everyone's yard. So easy to care for, thriving happily in medium soil and hot full to part sun, flowering in late summer to the delight of butterflies and beneficial insects, what isn't to love?

In early spring, fleshy rosettes appear at the crown. These grow into long stems topped with light pink flowers that open in late summer, when the rest of the garden is often past it's peak. The budded and blooming stems are delightful as cut flowers, and the dried heads make excellent dried flowers.

'Autumn Joy' can become a bit top-heavy with it's huge blooms, so a support ring is beneficial.

Like all perennials, the first year planted might be slow or even disappointing, but each year they get stronger and stronger and more and more beautiful. BE PATIENT.
