Sambucus canadensis

Huge flower heads, up to 12" across that hang downwards which helps keeps birds away from the berries. If cut to the ground yearly, the plant's height can be kept lower, around 6'. The fruits are sweeter and larger than other elderberries, and ripen all at the same time, making harvest much easier.

Exposure: Full sun

Zone: 4-8

Size: 12-15', but can be pruned as a shrub

- Self pollinating, but does even better with a pollinator (such as our Adams elderberry)

- Highly productive

- Disease resistant

- Excellent for home grown olive oil production!
