Borage officinalis

Easy to grow, yummy to eat, and useful in the home apothecary, Borage is one of those herbs that belongs in every garden.

Grow borage in full sun, spaced 15" apart. It becomes quite a full plant, so spacing is important. Borage occasionally behaves as a biennial, flowering the second year, but our plants were started early enough that it should flower and complete its life cycle this year. It will re-seed easily.

Borage does not particularly like to be in pots, including our propagation pots - it will grow much better once placed in the ground.
