Ficus carica 'Chicago Hardy'

This wonderful, compact fig is hardy to zone 5! It may die to the ground when it freezes, but it will quickly sprout again, fruiting heavily on new wood. Small to medium brown fruit with luscioius strawberry red flesh. Self-fertile, so you only need to plant one to get fruit!

Chicago Hardys only need to be spaced 3-6' apart, and only get 10-12' tall. They're excellent in pots, which will also keep them smaller

Sun exposure: Full sun

Zone: 5-10

Size: 10-12' tall x 6-10' wide

Fruit size: 3-4"

Propagation: cuttings
