Ficus carica

Nothing can slow this one down! Hardy way down in temperatures, Chicago Hardy produces a "breba" crop on old growth in the early summer, and a full crop on new growth in fall. Chicago Hardy delivers delicious, medium size fruits early giving a harvest even if it has to re-grow due to freezing.

This fig is self-pollinating, so you only need one. It can also be grown in large pots.

Exposure: Full sun to part sun

Moisture: drought tolerant once established. Requires well drained soil.

Zones: 5-10
