The Hungarian Yellow Wax pepper is not to be confused with the mild Banana pepper which looks much like it. When harvested while still yellow, the fruits are medium hot, and that is the typical harvest time. If allowed to mature to red, the heat level increases quite a bit. Its crisp texture makes it excellent for pickling and canning.
Maturing in 70 days, the Hungarian Yellow Wax sets fruit over a long season.
Its short stature makes it an excellent container pepper.
