Sedum sieboldii

'October Daphne' has got to be the most beautiful sedum. Throughout the summer, this little guy forms a rounded mound, with horizontal branches coming from a central cround. The blue-green leaves are outlined in deep pink, which intensifies in the summer heat.

Early fall, though, is when this baby really shines. Bright pink, star shaped flowers appear in clusters at the ends of the stems. The foliage turns shades of pink, red, yellow, and orange. It is spectacular in a pot!

This beautiful plant is also incredibly easy to care for. She prefers poor to moderate soil that is on the drier side, and can even be tucked into cracks in walls and sidewalks.

Like all perennials, the first year planted might be slow or even disappointing, but each year they get stronger and stronger and more and more beautiful. BE PATIENT.
